A Vignette: Wood, Paper and Delphinium
Written on September 24, 2012
Today I’m showing a corner of my showroom: a cluster of wooden Japanese and Korean stools and bowls has been showered with fallen delphinium petals. It looked so natural and beautiful I wanted to share.
.
Thank you for sharing these beautiful images. You are so special Stephen. Thank you again for this gift. marina

Very pretty. Delphiniums seem to be first to start dropping petals in any floral arrangements. Fleeting beauty, which you captured so well in this photo.

there’s a quote from dorothy l sayers’ gaudy night, where flame is described as delphinium blue, if flame were ever so blue. i liked that, how blue BLUE delphinium is. i’ve missed them in my garden, delphinium and borage are old favorites. now my only blues are forget me nots.
